President and Founder
As President of XSB, Inc., Rupert Hopkins is responsible for guiding the company’s strategic vision and business strategy. Rupert manages the company’s operations and ensures that XSB continues to meet the needs of its customers while driving technology innovation. Rupert is internationally known for his work in commercialization of defense technologies and industrial productivity. He has served as an adviser to the U.S. Secretary of Defense Office of Economic Adjustment, the Defense Standardization Program Office, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Soros Foundation and others. He is also the former Long Island Regional Director of Economic Development for New York State. Rupert has more than 30 years of management experience.
Richard J. Gill
Co-Founder and Board Member
Richard Gill has over 30 years of experience in finance and administration. He has provided financial insight for XSB's operations since the company’s inception in 1998. Prior to joining XSB, Richard worked for several years with Coopers and Lybrand (PriceWaterhouse Coopers) before becoming Controller for Transcontrol Corporation, a division of Siemens A.G. Throughout his diverse career in management Richard has also served as CFO for United Biomedical Inc., a biotech firm with a specialization in synthetic compounds, and was a Member of the Board of Directors and CFO of Lourdes Industries Inc., a regional defense firm.
David Warren, Ph.D.
Co-Founder and Vice President of Sciences
Dr. David Warren is a co-founder of XSB, Inc., and serves as the company’s Vice President of Sciences. David is the principal architect of XSB’s core logic engine which has provided the foundation upon which all of XSB's classification, reasoning, and data management tools are built. David is a world-renowned Computer Scientist in the field of Logic Programming, a former Chairman of the Stony Brook University Computer Science Department (1996-1999), and a Fellow of the ACM. David’s work and research has centered on a variety of topics in the field of logic programming. He initiated and led the more than 30-year effort to organize the XSB tabled logic programming community, and has spent much of his career focusing on the design and development of the open source XSB logic programming system. David is credited with having authored more than 100 technical papers that were published in major conferences and journals on topics relating to logic programming, and has served as the Principal Investigator on multiple research grants from a variety of government agencies. David received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
Chief Operating Officer
Tatyana Vidrevich is the Chief Operating Officer at XSB. She is responsible for the technical vision of the company and oversees product lifecycle development. She manages project design, resources and budgets, and oversees XSB's growing team of developers and engineers. Tatyana manages many development and sustainment efforts for XSB’s content management solutions, and is the principal architect of XSB’s Master Data File solution. Since joining XSB in 2001, Tatyana has served as Principal Investigator on numerous Research & Development grants funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA); including a multi-year grant for the development of XSB’s patented Xtractica® system. She has co-authored several papers on data quality that have been presented at major conferences, and is a past recipient of Federal Computer Week’s prestigious Rising Star Award (2006). Tatyana holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Stony Brook University, as well as a BS in Applied Mathematics. Tatyana is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School Executive Program.
Vice President Operations
Daria Wesnofske is XSB’s Vice President of Operations where she has provided overall direction and guidance to the operational activities of the company for more than a decade. Daria is a skilled contract manager and directs all legal aspects of XSB’s operations, including intellectual property protection, commercial and government contract negotiations, contract performance and compliance issues, and human resources. She also ensures that company policies, systems and process are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
Daria has more than 15 years of experience in technical and operations management; prior to joining XSB, she held a variety of management and senior leadership positions in the software industry. Daria is a Certified Contracts Manager and holds a Masters Certificate in Federal Contract Management from George Washington University. She also holds a BA from Stony Brook University and has taken executive education courses at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Alberto J. Cassola
Vice President Sales and Marketing
Alberto Cassola recently joined XSB, Inc. as Vice President of Sales & Marketing to lead the company's expansion in the commercial sector and accelerate the introduction of new products. With more than 20 years experience in sales and marketing leadership roles, Alberto has a sound knowledge of the sales methodologies and management tactics required to build revenue streams for rapidly evolving technology solutions. His deep roots in industrial publishing, including the launch of the ThomasNet.com sourcing platform, where he served as VP Sales & Marketing 2004-11, make him a welcome addition to the team. Alberto earned a BA in Government Studies from Connecticut College.
Vice President Defense
Len Bosma is a Certified Project Management Professional and Six Sigma Black Belt with more than 30 years of experience in technical management. He joined XSB in 2012 and assists in the planning and growth of XSB’s Defense sector. Prior to joining XSB, Mr. Bosma was program manager for the Logistics Management Institute (LMI). Among his accomplishments at LMI were providing strategic planning for the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and overseeing efforts to rewrite the United States Coast Guard (USCG) headquarters policy for the Naval Engineering and Logistics Program. Len is a retired from the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) and holds a MS in Industrial Administration from Purdue University.
